In a statement, its chairperson Asmuni Awi said his party has begun preparations to mobilise its machinery to ensure victory for BN’s candidate, reinforcing BN-Pakatan Harapan cooperation in the state.
“This unwavering support sends a clear message to the people that the political stability achieved through the unity government must be preserved and strengthened.
“Ensuring the success of policies at both the state and federal levels remains our top priority,” he said.
Asmuni added during a Perak Amanah leadership meeting on Feb 23 that the party instructed its wings to hold official discussions with BN to devise strategies for targeting young and female voters in the by-election.
He believed that Perak’s government could serve as a model for BN-Harapan collaboration, showcasing strong governance and policies that benefit the people.
The Ayer Kuning state seat in Perak fell vacant following the passing of its incumbent assemblyperson Ishsam Shahruddin.
The Umno candidate defeated four others to win the state seat by 2,213 votes in the 2022 general election.
