Summary
Police have completed a probe into allegations that a minister’s son had intimidated a woman.
The man was accused of threatening the woman - whom he impregnated - to get an abortion.
Police have completed an investigation into a senior minister’s son who was alleged to have intimidated a woman he was accused of impregnating.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the investigation paper had already been submitted on Monday (Jan 6) for further action.
“This shows that police will not compromise or protect anyone who committed wrongdoing,” he was reported as saying.
The police have already taken statements from those involved, and are currently getting a medical report about the woman’s pregnancy.

Previously, a purported report was widely shared on social media, in which a minister’s son allegedly threatened a woman he impregnated to get an abortion.
He also allegedly tried to kick her in the stomach.
Razarudin said early investigations found the two have wed, but are trying to verify their marriage certificate.
The case is believed to be the same one that Bersatu leader Badrul Hisham Shaharin had planned to lodge a police report about.
Badrul claimed that the woman was raped.
However, he did not proceed with lodging a police report yesterday after the victim reportedly withdrew her police report against the minister’s son.
