PKR deputy secretary-general Dr Sathia Prakash Nadarajan said Surendran, who quit the party in February, should consider joining Bersatu along with former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali.
"It is strange when individuals like Surendran talk about 'morality'.
"Where did your 'morality' go when you became Azmin's lawyer after he and several PKR MPs betrayed the people's mandate through the 'Sheraton Move'?"
"I suggest brother Surendran continue his 'struggle' together with Azmin in Bersatu," said Sathia (above).
Earlier today, Surendran said PKR does not deserve to celebrate its 25th anniversary because the party has deviated from its original struggle.
Surendran said while PKR had for more than two decades talked about reforms, the situation has changed ever since they came into power and formed the government.
"What do you want to celebrate?"
"For 25 years they promised reform. When in power - there is no reform, only excuses," Surendran said on X.
Biased criticisms
Surendran added that many characters fought for what they believed in and faced the risk of imprisonment, to enable PKR to come to power.
However, the former Padang Serai MP claimed that all such efforts have now been rendered "useless".
Commenting further, Sathia claimed that Surendran's criticisms were often biased.
"I didn't even see him criticising Azmin and his team when they announced the exit of PKR until the fall of the Pakatan Harapan government in 2020.
"In fact, he is willing to represent Azmin regarding the sex video issue linked to him.
"It seems that what Surendran said is correct where parties are using PKR for personal gain," Sathia claimed.
