CAMERON POLLS | Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad struggled to recall Pakatan Harapan candidate M Manogaran's name during a ceramah in the BN stronghold of Felda Sungai Koyan in Cameron Highlands this afternoon.
The 94-year-old Harapan chairperson attributed this to his advanced age.
“Here (in Cameron Highlands), Harapan is represented by...errr...Manogaran. I forgot the name because I am old. Thank you,” he said.
Mahathir, who was dressed in a bush jacket and wearing a pair of dark glasses, also quipped about the candidate's grey hair.
“Tak nampak, gelap. Nampak rambut dia putih (Can't see, dark. Can see his hair is white),” he added, drawing laughter from the audience.

Manogaran, 59, would be making his third attempt to wrest the Cameron Highlands seat from BN tomorrow.
In his previous attempts, the DAP man was defeated by candidates from MIC.
This time around, BN has fielded a local Orang Asli Ramli Mohd Nor, who is a former senior police officer, while Manogaran, for the first time, is contesting as a candidate from the ruling coalition.
Meanwhile, Mahathir told voters in the BN stronghold to cast their ballots for Harapan.
“Let the state of Pahang be under BN... but cannot do anything. The power is with the central (Harapan) government,” he added.
Earlier, Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin denied that Mahathir's presence in Cameron Highlands signals that Harapan is fighting a losing battle.

@flyingeagle - keep telling lie...
voters of Cameron Highland, vote for PH for a Government to move the country forward not BN who had rape the country dry and the new PH Government has to look for money to fill up holes left behind under BN. VOTERS, VOTE FOR THE FUTURE NOT THE PAST.
in a way Tun is saying why put a loser to contest again....he is not being racist. Racist people always talk racist all the time...(sigh)
