Furthermore, Wan Azizah said Mahathir would be joining Pakatan Harapan's campaign on Friday, a day before the ballots are cast.
“Of course, the opposition will make such stories. It sounds intriguing but it is not true.
“The PM will come back from (his) overseas trip... and campaign on Friday,” she told a press conference after campaigning in the PAS stronghold of Kampung Keledek in Jelai this afternoon.
During a ceramah in Cameron Highlands over the weekend, Annuar claimed that Mahathir was hoping that BN would retain the parliamentary seat.
He also alleged that the premier was frustrated with how DAP was treating him.
"When Mahathir called on Umno leaders to dissolve the party and join his party (Bersatu), he (Mahathir) said he was trapped and could no longer deal with what DAP was doing to him.
"Therefore, I can safely say that deep in his heart, Mahathir wants the BN candidate to win in Cameron Highlands," he added.
Harapan is fielding DAP's M Manogaran against BN's Ramli Mohd Nor in the Jan 26 by-election. Two independents, Sallehudin Ab Talib and Wong Seng Yee, are also contesting.
DUMNO is forever DUMB & DUMBER! One famous saying, a DUMB person is more deadly than cancer! What about a DUMB party? Disastrous...
I think the current govt should seriously consider forming new law to punish anyone who simply make irresponsible or false statements which are found to be untrue after verification. Or the victim of false accusation can claim compensation from the person making the false statement. There should be some form of liability imposed for simply telling lies. Otherwise, BN’s and PAS’ addiction of making fake statements will never be stopped and unfortunately there may be a small handful of people who may get fooled by their lies.
Still same old DUMNO using same old tactic. Am waiting them to lose Cameron, just like how PH won past by-election. DUMNO will then shut up & start to pick on racist remarks again...So, cooling period for racist remarks for now...
