A BN victory will not make Najib in his aspiration/dream for a political comeback. After all it was originally a BN seat. He saw that the odds are weighted towards BN with PAS abstaining from the by election and seized the opportunity to ride on the coat tails of an expected victory. A loss will not break him either. He supported and campaigned for his pet sycophant Lokman Adam in the first selangor by election and lost. That did not break him did it? So long as UMNO does not repudiate him for his crimes he will continue to hope for a comeback. What better way for him to take his mind off his impending court cases than election campaigning. We see a complete remorseless on his part and the part of UMNO towards the huge financial harm that Najib has done to the country. They just ignore it and “make don’t know, don’t care”.

#Kookie cannot counter an argument with his own argument and resorts to name calling. How sad. I have NEVER voted for BN all my life. But I want this government to wake up and counter Najib and SUCCEED. Mine is a wake up call or else we will see Najib as PM and live to suffer the consequences. The ONLY way forward, in my mind is for Mahathir to make way for a YOUNGER person, whoever the majority chooses to become PM and lead the country to GREATER heights. This government, under Mahathir has become DYSFUNCTIONAL !

What strikes me here is the question of the possibility of Najib’s lawyer dragging the court proceeding until 2023 thus enable Najib to stand for the GE15. And we can see Mr. Hotshot was trying to do just that, at least superficially, by wanting to postpone the trial even though he was given seven months to prepare for it. This fellow would know every trick in the book as he had been there before. It would be possible that he can drag the case, including the appeal process, long enough until after GE15. I am sure the AG is cognizant of this so it is interesting to see how it will pan out. Kadir Jasin said money laundering and breach of trust cases like in 1MDB are quite clear cut and easy to prove unlike murder or sodomy, thus implying that the trial should not be dragged for too long. And if it is, then for sure it is purposely done, and which we begin to see the strategy employed the defence lawyer .

Even without the full force of the election machinery, the lost the last time was very narrow. With the complete force and working on the full cross section of the people, PH are in a better position now. It will be either Najib's waterloo or a breath of fresh air. But by concentrating on just a certain section of people is going to make it difficult for victory. The speeches that they are making will eventually drive some sections in to the arms of PH. It is time to change the strategy. A loss here will dampens the hearts of not only the party supporters, but will also might send them in to joining the winning team. A loss here will also set the trend for future election battles. So it is a do or die battle for Najib and also Umno.

There is nothing to lose for Naib in "leading" this bye election and the coming one. If BN wins Najib is one up and a plus point for a come back. PH chances of a win is bleak with all the negative issues. It will be a good lesson for PH to sincerely examine itself structurally, strategies and more importantly how the leaders conduct themselves being the government. Talking of the same issues, 1MDB, corruption, FELDA, TH, RM 1 trillion debt to the ordinary folks are now STALE!! Announcements of GOODIES are what people want now.

LKS knows after 8 months of below par performance, u-turns, repeating similar abuses of govt machinery and the manner party elections are run, double talk, living costs upheavals - the only common denominator that may prevail but certainly less inview the process of law is the dislike of the previous leadership and political goons who epitomise that brand! And he tries one last time to milk that in the face of possible defeat instead of making amendments. And certainly this is an obsession!

Were you officially appointed by PH to counter Najib's growing online presence? I believe you are being melodramatic to frame a CH by-election win by BN as a political comeback for Najib. Yes, I will agree it will give him credence to make a comeback but that's much further down the road. Yeah....Ramli is worst than a side kick - he has not been heard to read his script yet. But I am not rooting for a PH win this time - the PH leadership should sit up and take note that the rakyat is disillusioned by their governance thus far; all the broken promises and same old same old bureaucracy!!
