We always hear criticism about the court, such as the judge or the judiciary being inefficient, ineffective or unfair, but seldom do we hear criticism against the Bar or the lawyers who are the behind all these wild accusations.

Case in point: To bring the contempt case against Justice S Augustine Paul is basically very petty and a waste of the court, the judiciary and the taxpayers' time and money.

I'm surprise that supposedly senior lawyers like Christopher Fernandez and Karpal Singh still want to pursue the case. This is clearly shows their irresponsibility towards their clients who are waiting with more important cases, their fellow citizens-cum-taxpayers, their colleagues, the judges and the integrity of the entire judiciary system itself. They're just abusing the system for cheap publicity.

I think it's about time the public take action to stop all this childish and selfish behaviour of the lawyers and give priority to the smooth running of the judiciary system.
