Super-efficient police

I find it amazing that Dr Badrul Amin Bahron's arrest was made at such lightning speed. I must say that when it comes to certain cases, the Polis Diraja Malaysia are most efficient. In this case, the former ISA detainee was found to have contravened an instruction given by the home affairs minister.
Yet it is most sad and disappointing that when the common rakyat is in need of assistance, you find a lethargic and indiscipline police force. An Indian family in need, a community stocked by thugs, a lady accosted and injured - where are the police in times of danger?
If only they will be as vigilant and diligent in everyday crimes as they are in stalking 'political criminals'.
As I said before, the police force should change their motto to 'Berkhidmat untuk Kerajaan'.
