Heard on the radio about a programme on women abused by men. The guest speaker talked about the woes and problems of women as if women are all angels who did no wrong, and that men are the only perpetrators of inhumane acts.

I do agree that some men are not fit to be called 'human' due to their behaviour and actions such as rape, domestic violence, incest, sexual harassment, etc. But not all men are like that. There are men who respect women a lot - for their sacrifices and hard work put in to make the house a home.

But what about some women who destroy men so thoroughly but subtly, mentally and emotionally, that the whole world still thinks of these 'ladies' as victims? I am talking about women who put so much pressure on and give hell to their men, demanding for money, material wealth and obedience, that these men usually either go cuckoo or quietly comply, just to 'keep the peace'.

Ever wonder why women are usually the ones who nag endlessly? Is it their second nature? Have you tried giving the same medicine to women - nag them back, and see the results? They would not last 10 seconds! Goes on to show some men are more tolerant than women. So in this context who is the weaker sex, or rather who is the better sex?

Definitely not the menfolk. The men are usually the ones who get killed first, injured first, shot first, tortured first. What happens to the women if their men do not return from the war/hunting? They simply get a replacement. No doubt they have to care for the children, but do you recall the statement which said that mothers only carry the child for 10 months but fathers have to carry the child for 21 years (or until the child becomes independent)?

I am talking about men's responsibilities for the family and children. So let's hope the womenfolk out there do not degrade men as if all men are animals.

There are also women whose actions more than qualify them to be considered in this category also. I am talking about women who put on an image of goody-two-shoes, very religious, follow the regimen of being vegetarians on the first and 15th of every month, and yet do not bat an eyelid when they provide seemingly well-intentioned 'advice' to their siblings or relatives on how to 'handle' their men, how to milk the men of their money (as in divorce cases), how to give them hell and make life miserable especially when the going gets tough for the men, e.g., business failure, or better still, even coach their siblings or relatives to leave the men in order to get a better catch.

Of course, there are also women who stay with their spouses through thick and thin - these women deserve all the accolades and respect possible. But kudos also to some menfolk who carry on just the same, despite the hell given by their beloved spouses. Isn't life interesting and colourful?

So the moral of the story is that while there are men who do injustice to women, there are also women who do equally bad things to men. The only difference being the world does not acknowledge the action of this special group of women. Why? Because they are the better sex, that's why. They are so good that the whole world is on their side. Think about it.
