Electricity tariffs for households, commercial users and industries will see a reduction between 2.54% and 5% from March 1, said Energy, Water and Communications Minister Shaziman Abu Mansor today.
Households will see a reduction of 2.54% on average, followed by 2.7% for commercial users and 5% for industries.
On Saturday, Shaziman had said the ministry was working with the Economic Planning Unit on the tariffs for households and industries.
"I will brief the Cabinet on Wednesday," he had said.
Shaziman had also said that apart from lowering power rates, the government would also give rebates to industries which consumed a lot of electricity.
