Mr Tony Fernandes, you were the only Malaysian businessman I greatly admired. So much so, that the only stock that I have never considered selling was AirAsia's. Sadly, recent events involving AirAsia have forced me to change my mind about you.

On Jan 5, my Indonesian maid arrived from Jakarta via AirAsia. However, she got stuck in immigration due to the fact that I had not provided a photocopy of a certain document to the authorities.

Unfortunately, all the photocopy machines in the whole of the LCCT were out of order. As a last resort, I went to AirAsia’s office on the mezzanine floor to ask for favour to get the two-page document photocopied.

Not only was I unable to do that, I wasn't even allowed to go into your reception area by a guard due to instructions from your receptionist! What has become of your so-called ‘people friendly’ service?

This was not just a one-off incident. Last year while on a flight to Kuala Terengganu, your crew didn't even bother to say goodbye to passengers when they were disembarking. Your stewardesses acted like they were queens of the sky when in actual fact they are just waitresses in an airplane.

I blame your crew’s inefficiency on you as you seem more interested in chumming up with your politician buddies instead of talking (like you used to do) to passenger like me who actually make you money.

I read with great disdain that Pak Lah’s government has approved the proposal to build a new low-cost terminal in Labu. I understand your frustrations in dealing with MAHB but do we really need another LCCT?

Can't this problem be solved with the current LCCT? Is this really to convenience passengers like me or is it just another grand scheme for certain people to suck our money dry?

You had an opportunity to be the beacon of what businesses are supposed to be like but you chose to play their (Umno/BN/Crony) game.

That's all I have to say at the moment for I can't spend too much time on the Internet as people like me, who have no political connections, have to work very hard to feed my family.
