Years of struggle and suffering encountered by the US Civil Rights Movement since 1955 has resulted today in a black president leading the white house. The road will be long and winding; it will be painful.

But make no mistake: the Malaysian civil rights movement of 2009 will be remembered in history as the year Malaysians came of age and took great strides towards one united /Bangsa Malaysia’.
