Why are Christian ministers keeping mum?

I refer to the article by Tong Yee Siong, 'CFM wants more protection for places of worship' (Nov 8), and wish to make the following comment. Let us forget about the government making a public condemnation about the burning of churches around the country. I doubt it would be forth-coming.
What I would like to know is - and very insistently too - why are our ministers of the Christian faith keeping mum about the issue, especially Leo Moggie?
I feel a total sense of helplessness here when the government, of whom we voted in, doesn't even seem to care. No wonder the arsonists are having a free rein. I am not altogether surprised if yet another church gets burnt.
