Ezam is the proverbial hot potato. He is full of vengeance and hypocrisy.

He gets so personal that the only effect his appearance has on the KT voters is revulsion.

Thank you Ezam, just as in Permatang Pauh, your appearance is worth (at least) a few thousand votes!

Ko-han Wai: After reading this report, my evaluation and conclusion of Anwar is this:

Anwar is a man who remembers and appreciates the goodness/ kindness shown by Mahathir even though the latter framed him - A very appreciative man.

He tried to make peace with Mahathir - A peaceful and conciliatory man.

He do not want to elaborate more on this issue - an intelligent and smart man (no point in making a big fuss).

A good leader? (Maybe – we really hope so).

On Ezam,

Ezam goes around spouting the so-called ‘bad deeds’ of Anwar – an unappreciative and untrustworthy man.

Ezam could not send the letter to Mahathir – An incompetent man.

Through all this badmouthing and showing of documents and stuff, Ezam is actually helping Anwar and Pakatan Rakyat.

Proving to the nation that Anwar is a good man that can make a good leader. Thus, I have this to say to Ezam: ‘Keep up the good work'.

Pathma Devi V: People are worried about serious allegations but this person is hung up about one peacemaking letter.

Ezam, please be serious. Don't play-play la.

Millionth Citizen: Even after Permatang Matang Pauh, this Ezam fellow is still trying to pull another fast one on us.

Seriously, he once swore by Anwar and despised Umno and now he swears by Umno and despises Anwar. Exactly what does want us to believe?

With this kind of behavior , who can believe what he says is true?

Come on, Ezam, we were not born yesterday. Maybe you should also write a letter to make peace with Anwar.


On Anwar hints at defections, again

Gman: Its like the boy who cried wolf and at the end of the day was the one who ended up the loser.

For the brilliant orator that he is, I think DSAI falls severely short when it comes to playing the strategy game.

As we all know, the element is surprise is what one would adopt, as compared to telling your enemies that your 'attack' is coming.

We all are only too familiar with the dud on Sept 16, then came some date in October and then December and now this again?

I am no supporter of the present government but I think Pakatan needs to get its act together. Lets have some substance and real 'action' next time compared to just empty promises.

Yap, teach the youngster a lesson by forgiving him. After all, he is only a child. Would you have the heart to destroy this youngster's future?

Use your wisdom; let bygones be bygones, forgive and forget. The child will remember you as a great gentleman for the rest of his life.


On 'There are no Palestinian voters in M'sia'

Azren Hassan: What does the writer mean about Tamil voters in Malaysia but not Palestinians?. He should understand that what is happening in the two countries are different.

In Sri Lanka, it is more like a civil war between the government of Sri Lanka and the Tamil Tigers.

There is nothing that the government of Malaysia or any other country can do because it is an internal problem.

Palestine, however, is a country that has been invaded by another country without any reason.

That’s why the Palestine cause has raised more international awareness than Sri Lanka’s.

Lee KH: We are all appalled by the suffering of the people in Palestine though there is no way our government going to play any significant role to solve the problem. We should stop apportioning blame.

We should just call for a stop to all hostilities and for all parties to come together to talk. We should not take sides.

As it is, our own people are already beginning to question why there are no protests at the hostilities in Sri Lanka in which the Tamils have been killed.

What the Tamils are going through is no different from what the Palestinians are fighting for. So how come there is no official protest? Where is our conscience and humanity?

And then right at our doorstep we also have the senseless killings and bombings carried out by the separatists in Southern Thailand. More than 3,500 have been killed. People there live in fear.

Where is our Malaysian conscience? There is not a squeak, not a sound to condemn the daily terror being perpetrated by these terrorists. Why?

Why can't we use our influence as a Muslim nation to invite these people to talk to the Thai government. What is the problem?

What role does our government want to play in the world? How can we contribute to world peace? If we can’t solve what is happening next door, it is better we stop fooling ourselves. Unless, of course, there is another agenda which the government is following.

P Sritharan: What is happening in Palestine and Sri Lanka is a combination of both war and terrorist attacks.

This is unavoidable because they are wars between freedom fighters and their opposing governments.

But no matter what reason they give, they have to take responsibility for their misdeeds to the families of their victims. Sinners are sinner no matter whether they are freedom fighters or government forces.

On the other scenario, if at all government forces are engaged in atrocities against innocent civilians, then their acts must certainly be taken as barbaric, inhuman and brutal. This is because they are well-armed, trained, funded and will have the upper hand in a war.

Judging by the above yardstick, Israel and their forces are currently barbaric, inhuman and brutal against the Palestinians.

The wisest and most rational thing to do is to stop the wars and negotiate. Some superpowers could be mediators (the US may be allowed if it changes its attitude). The warring parties should be sincere, considerate and have a give and take attitude.

Thanneermalai: I would recommend our government rally a pan-OIC military force to fight the Israelis. But this will never happen as everyone is just paying lip-service.

There is also another group of Muslims in need but who are completely ignored - the Kurds. There are over 23 million Kurds but no nation supports their nationhood demands.

Why not? On top of that, they are being oppressed by fellow OIC members ie Turkey, Iran, etc.
