What the Dickens? We are getting a ruling from Azhar scholars on the nature of our statehood? Where is this in the Federal Constitution?

Did all of us miss this enabling constitutional provision for the last 43 years? Was there possibly a constitutional convention which allows for such a resort which has been obscured to all experts?

Is it 'anything goes' with this Islamic state obsession of political parties?

I must confess that this is a completely unconstitutional whim necessitated by the Who-Is-Really-Islamic war between Barisan Nasional or Umno and Pas. Why are we resorting to an outside body as opposed to our own institutions like the judiciary and the sovereign body - the people of Malaysia?
