America suspects that Osama bin Laden is responsible for the Sept 11 tragedy. Acting on this suspicion, the US demanded that Afghanistan hand over Osama to them. The Afghan leaders refused the US' demand on the ground that the US has no proof to link the tragedy to Osama. Following the refusal by Afghan leaders, the US accused Afghanistan of protecting Osama and declared war on Afghanistan.

Based on the above facts, it is understandable that PAS has not discouraged its members from responding to the jihad call by Afghanistan.

I am sure PAS' stand will be different if it is proven that Osama is responsible for the Sept 11 tragedy.
