With reference to ( 'Stop being ignorant', Oct 12), Yati Mokhtar highlights that all Muslims are brothers and sisters. To me, that is no different from PAS' ideology that the world consists of Muslims and non-Muslims, a serious discrimination towards each others' religion. Is that what we want in a multi-racial country like Malaysia?

First of all, Yati claims that Muslims in Malaysia should help the Talibans fight the US due to the above reason. But what about those suspected Muslims who crashed into the WTC?

If the writer is sticking to her argument, does that mean that all Muslims around the world should support or defend the acts or their brothers or sisters who committed that so-called 'martyr' acts?

Secondly, I don't see why we should discriminate each other according to race, religion or gender. What happened on Sept 11 should be a strong reminder to the entire nation of the world that our daily lives are currently under threat by terrorist activities.

Let us all take a moment to think about the long term impact of the Sept 11 attacks before we start to make any more irresponsible comments.
