I refer to former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim's essay in Time magazine saying "Never in Islam's history have the actions of so few of its followers caused the religion and its community of believers to be such an abomination in the eyes of others."

To those who are trying to cause more problems and more strife in the world by letting their blind devotions to self-appointed 'gods on earth', I urge them to stop and think.

Do you seriously think what Osama bin Laden, or the Taliban, is trying to do in the name of religion is according to the decree of God? Then again, these are the same people who ill-treat the very vessel - women - that gave birth to them.

They are the very same people that use the name of religion to seek power for themselves but not for God, use religion to kill and make people suffer. What religion justifies all these things?

The word of God is pure and holy and it is man that has corrupted the word of God for their own purpose. It is said that the devil himself loves to misguide man away from God by changing what is pure into bad and evil.

People of Malaysia, if you think killing more people is right, then I can say no more. But if you think enough is enough and that death has to stop, then the first step to stopping it is, do not add to the violence. We are an educated nation. We know better than to listen to nonsense.

I do not speak for God or for any religion. I speak for the common person who values life and the teachings of good. We are not afraid of death but we do not seek death.
