I agree whole-heartedly with the views expressed by Zillian in 'Dr Mahathir was right about Western neo-imperialists' (Oct 8). Malaysia should indeed do more to counter the insidious scourge of Western, and especially Anglo-Saxon neo-imperialism.

To begin with, Malaysia should immediately rid itself of this economic oppression by asking all Western foreign investors to liquidate their assets and leave, as well as barring all new foreign investors from entering and polluting Malaysia with their dirty capital.

Malaysia should also stop exporting our goods to these western Anglo-Saxon neo-imperialists, who only exploit Malaysia's cheaper labour and natural resources while leaving behind pollution. The resultant job losses would be a small price to pay for achieving freedom by throwing off the chains of imperialism.

We should also turn away from western Anglo-Saxon propaganda mouthpieces such as CNN, the BBC, AFP, Reuters and CNBC. As Zillian says, the 'truth' is contained in the august pages of Malaysian newspapers such as Utusan, Berita Harian, the New Straits Times, the Star and now also Nanyang Siang Pau.

Let us also not forget TV3 and RTM, who bring the truth objectively to our living rooms every day. How fortunate for the rakyat that we have them to transmit to us the government's wisdom.
