As a business executive who travels very often, I usually trust the government but not in the case of Osama bin Laden's family business here in Malaysia. I think it is time the government should publish a White Paper to let us know truthfully what airport projects Osama's family have got from the government of Malaysia.

True, Osama's family in Saudi Arabia may have disowned the terrorist, but we still have to know in what way the members of the family who have obtained our airport contracts are related to him.

How close are those members of the family to the terrorists? We should be more careful and vigilant. Why are we so sure that none of the family still supports him financially?

What worries me the most is what types of airport project Osama's family have obtained from the government of Malaysia? Computerized passports identification system, security alarm system, metal detection system, canteen catering, baggage and luggage storage, transport system, pilot training, etc.

Mahathir, please let us know the full details of the business involvement of Osama's family in our airport system so that we are assured, and could confidently assure our foreign friends and business clients so that they would not be afraid to use Malaysian airports after reading the report in The Economist.
