Terrorism is wrong and terrible whoever is behind it. For a long time we have seen innocent bystanders killed by callous killers who have no respect for human life.

It is understandable if the US is enraged by the latest killings in New York City and is determined to wipe out terrorism. I hope they will give serious consideration for the safety of the millions of uninvolved Afghan citizens who are themselves the victims of the terrorists.

If we love truth and justice and honour life, we would denounce terrorism.

Those who resort to suicide and mass murder must know what awaits them after death is not paradise but the opposite. It is our failure to educate the deceived who continue to stand in line for a place to die as a 'martyr' that is worrying. All civilised and peace-loving nations must get the message across to the impressionable in their societies that killing has no place in any religious or political cause.

It is unfair, wrong and unacceptable for anyone to point the finger at the US for the terrorist attacks because of its foreign policy. To do so is to miss the point. The US is far from perfect but we cannot diminish the guilt of the guilty by illogical and unfair reasoning.

It is time journalists and politicians stop their one-sided US-bashing and concentrate on the real job at hand: the termination of all terrorism. If we cherish truth, we will be loyal to the truth, and be unafraid to speak the truth whatever the cost.

s I commend those Muslims who are brave and honest enough to condemn terrorism and their Muslim brethren who commit murderous acts of terrorism. It is when religionists are able and willing to condemn the wrongdoings of those who belong to their faith that there is a glimmer of hope for world peace and justice. To defend the indefensible is a grave injustice and an affront to the God of truth and justice.
