I am sick and tired of all these letters comparing the World Trade Center tragedy with what US had done over the years. Most of them implied that US deserved this punishment. It's true that US made a lot of mistakes over the years, but that doesn't mean that it deserved to be bombed. Remember, "two wrongs don't make a right"?

US is considered young compared with other developed countries. Over its 225 years, US developed from a newborn country to a superpower. Since its independence from England in 1776, the US has made several advancements as well as mistakes. It is not proud of some of its mistakes, which the government has publicly apologised. However, there were times the government knew it made a mistake but they did it anyway for the common good.

It is well known that the US does not have a "mind your own business" mentality. If it was concerned about minding its own business 60 years ago, how would World War II have ended?
