I have been a supporter of your paper from day one.

Your article "America gets its 'Mother of All Battles'" (Sept 13) was the most offensive and misguided piece of trash I have ever seen in my entire life.

To compare and equate the United Nations-led sanctions against Iraq to the World Trade Center bombing is absolutely disgusting.

Perhaps Mr Pillai forgets that Malaysia is a member of the United Nations and that Malaysia voted to support the military attacks and subsequent sanctions on Iraq.

You as an editor owe your readers an explanation and an apology for this.
