'Ponder' at a more appropriate time

Referring to Dr N's 'US tragedy: points to ponder' (Sept 12), I have this to say to him. He said his heart goes out to the victims. But just after that paragraph, he proceeded to blame the US government for "asking for it".
Most of the victims were Americans who believed that their government did the right thing. I say this because their government is voted into power by their own free will.
Remember that Iraq invaded Kuwait first? Remember the suicide Palestinian bombers that killed innocent civilians?
Just think if one of the victims read your letter. Basically you're saying, "America's loved ones died because they asked for it, but my heart goes out to you."
So if you want us to ponder some points, do that at an appropriate time. Right now I'm watching rescue workers digging out body parts on CNN.
