I write in response to 'US tragedy: points to ponder' (Sept 12). I agree that the US is arrogant but to equate the tragedy to Iraq and what's happening in the Middle-East and seek justification is totally irresponsible.

How can God seek to draw blood so that a cause is advanced? Doesn't vengeance belong to God? This is all trickery, lying to men that suicide is the immediate route to heaven..., when the concept of the true God is to love, not hate; to win souls, not to kill them.
