With regard to the prime minister's scolding to Malaysian men for being 'lazy', I would like to add that there are many competent, compassionate, reliable and hardworking men. But it's the lazy ones who fill many posts that ensure the policy formulation of the country which results in the creation of lazy men, as pointed out by the prime minister and affirmed by the human resources minister.

Honest, hardworking and dependable men usually do not get to be strategically positioned and when they are, they are sidelined, stopped and even locked up.

We want leaders who practice what they preach. Leaders who listen to the people, especially the women folk. Leaders who enquire the needs of their people without the latter having had to go through the whole tedious process of getting a just solution.

We want leaders who do not delay or speed up solutions for the sake of political expediency.

Women, we need to search for honest, caring and simple men who care about women more than they care about themselves. We haven't found them because we haven't ever earnestly searched for them.

We women should nominate our own leaders regardless of political parties. Principle-oriented parties will agree to such an idea. Principle-orientated party will have nothing to fear. Women themselves should first be just and fair before God bestows justice upon them.
