Just a point of discussion as the topic says ... what if the general public allows PAS to set up an Islamic state after the next general elections? Considering the fact that the majority of the voters in Kelantan might just opt for it, what if we give PAS the nod to go ahead with the proposal?

Let's look at it this way. We'll never be able to compare the good and the bad side of life if PAS' intention does not come true. So the show begins with them treating Kelantan as an Islamic state with the hudud laws and what not. Let them govern for a fixed period and see for ourselves whether this Islamic state with her laws are really that good, righteous and fair to all citizens.

Compare the general feelings with let's say Penang. Only then will we be able to give a fairly good judgement whether Islamic laws are liveable with or not. If five years of living under such laws does not bring about better living standards, fairness and justice, then we boot the party out altogether, the next elections.
