I would like to comment on the article by Salbiah Ahmad, "What Islamic State Part II"(Aug 9).

Salbiah's statement that " .... It is no comfort when the state's Islamic law only codifies Sunni views of the main four schools of thought. Shiah Muslims are 'the other'. It is naive to sing the rhetoric that Islamic law applies to Muslims when some other Muslims are denied their freedom." is incorrect. The source of Islamic law is not from any 'school of thought' but is in fact the source of the Al-Quran and the Hadith.
