I refer to a recent report where Dr Ting Chew Peh reacted to a question on how he could counter the PAS Islamic state issue when PAS had not revealed it to them?

He answered that MCA will cull information from Middle East countries of their writings and literature.

By just sampling their findings is an outrageous generalisation to Malaysians being dragged as bogey into their malicious intention to instill fear and warrant ISA arrest on its people.

American quotes like "blame it on the Muslims" may soon find its way through MCA to indicate Islamic State means terrorist state.

The Malaysian Chinese would likely regard MCA's act as shameful and disgrace to their community. MCA would then be diverted from taking charge of more important issues faced by the community and clear their internal party problems.

I believe the Chinese community in this country will be matured enough to differentiate and absorb what is relevant, truthful and important to them.

BA would be taking pain to reach out to every individual despite the crackdown by authorities to tell about their aims and type of government. The recent takeover of Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press is becoming clear to us that politics is the main motive behind the deal.

If BN won convincingly in the last elections that would make some sense but results have shown BN won only a slim majority in almost every respective constituency. The percentage voted in BN's favor was 54 percent, one of the lowest in history.

The opposition's biggest victory came in 1964 and 1969 and both elections did not result in gathering any help from foreign terrorist, communist, CIA, etc to topple the government but help came from the people to vote for them.

I can still remember in the last elections, Najib only won majority of 224 votes from a constituency in Pahang. No mention of automatic recount took place to confirm the results.

In my opinion BN knows they could not depend on election campaign anymore to bring back votes into their fold. We have already gone mid term after the last general elections and support of the people for BN had not improved but depreciated into dangerous levels.

Problems that cause BN to lose votes in their last election remain unresolved and chances of solving it before the next elections are very slim because they are mostly long-term problems.

Financial strength to run massive campaigns may have been hampered because not many large conglomerates linked with political parties have been restructured yet.

If I'm a citizen of Afghanistan, Indonesia or countries that the Malaysian government blames for supporting our opposition to topple the government, I will be damned.

We saw how our PM lashed out against the Western nations' 'evil intention' to colonise us during the last Umno general assembly but surprisingly he didn't include countries from the Middle East.

Most recently we saw the Mujahideen being blamed to warrant the arrest against PAS members. Earlier they have blamed Indonesia separatist and reformasi groups to warrant the ISA arrest against Keadilan leaders and not long ago they even claimed Anwar Ibrahim (former DPM) of being a CIA spy, wanting to topple our Malaysian government.

They are creating the impression that Malaysians are collaborating with terrorists, separatists, reformists and western intelligence from all over the world just to topple our BN government.

Isn't this explicitly tarnishing and infringing the rights of other legitimate governments and nations. Malaysia recently sent an envoy of humanitarian aid to Iraq while Petronas had oil exploration ventures in Iran. Mahathir also had recently called Malaysians to seek economic opportunities in the Middle East countries.

Isn't the Malaysian government making allies with 'terrorist states' and didn't we receive a warning from the US about the Iranian oil deal?

Mahathir had been vocal in blasting westerners for claiming Muslims are terrorist..

I ask what our foreign policies are? The government has been defying international norms and governance to keep BN in power. It started with our own economic reforms to bailout political cronies and now suppression of opposition political parties.

Our PM always blasted the US for bringing Anwar's issue in our bilateral ties and why are we alleging that other nations like Indonesia and Afghanistan are assisting in toppling our government?

Surely our PM would be furious if the US Congress simply imposes sanctions against Malaysia because of Anwar's case. Shouldn't the Mujahideens or Afghanistan people be furious too about us making fun and lies about them?

Being a Malaysian I find it most difficult to answer any of my foreign friends when asked about ISA and national security issues. There is so much fear about such matters and keeping our lips sealed outside Malaysia does not mean nobody knows the malicious things done by our government.
