Although some Malaysians do not like the Internal Security Act, I think it is important to keep the law to protect national security and stability.

As Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has said, the National Front guarantees the security and stability of Malaysia, so it is time for the government to really seriously consider arresting those who destabilise the National Front government, like the rebels in MCA.

Since Umno is weak and MCA has become an important protective net, anyone who creates trouble in MCA must be dealt with firmly. I therefore agree with LC Leong ('Malacious rumour - plot to destabilise party', Aug 6) that ISA be used immediately against Lim Ah Lek, Chua Jui Meng and Ong Tee Keat, etc. These self-styled MCA rebels are like the communists those days against whom the MCA had fought so heroically in the 1950s to save the nation from turning into a dictatorship of proletarians.
