From the photographs in the Malay, English and Chinese newspapers, it is evident that a riot had occurred in the MCA Youth annual general meeting (AGM) last Friday, with chairs flying, fistfights, a bomb hoax and general commotion.

Why have the police not taken action against the real rioters? Their faces are recognisable even in the newspapers. The Special Branch should be able to track them down with the co-operation of top MCA leaders. Why do the police arrest opposition leaders and members under the Internal Security Act (ISA) while letting riotous leaders and members of MCA go scot-free?

It is fair? Is it what the police mean when they say they follow the rule of law?

I hope the police would act to convince the rakyat that it is not biased against MCA, PAS or even Keadilan. Firm action should be taken against the MCA rioters, otherwise others would think it is okay to do likewise in other functions.
