Aug 3, 2001 is a black day for MCA Youth. A group of hooligans (mostly from Perak state members) led by Yew Tiong Look staged a die-hard fight in support of their mentor.

They tried very hard to prevent the democratic wheel from moving forward by forbidding members from attending the June 23 EGM. Twenty-five central committee members with self-proclaimed authority declared that the EGM was unlawful; now they bring into the Aug 3 AGM, stink bombs and gangsterism!

These members bring shame and disgust to MCA. If they were allowed to hold a high post in the party, Gods know what would happen to MCA, though it definitely will go to rot with this type of culture. What are they actually struggling for? Their own personal gain or their 'dying' mentor?

Lastly, I wish Ong Tee Kiat good luck and do not succumb to hidden pressure.
