The MCA Youth AGM has all the action warranted in a B-Grade Holllywood action production as dished out by our pay-TV station nightly - middle-aged, portly villains and heroes, a seedy setting, bodyguards, bomb scares and chairs vainly trying to defy the laws of gravity.

These antics at one point in time, used to exclusively belong to the political domain of the Indians among us. With the excellent inter-race integration programmes implemented by our present government, it was just a matter of time before we eventually learnt and applied the strengths from others with differing cultural backgrounds. For no apparent reason, the phrase Malaysia Boleh! keeps ringing in my ears...

As popularised in ballad by a certain Mr Jackson, it's time to look at ourselves in the mirror. Try to hold back the tears. The political parties and politicians we elect into power ultimately reflect the population that voted them in. What a sorry state of disgrace. These individuals who represent us are bickering, tantrum-throwing children who don't posses the ability to hold mature discussions.

They cannot differentiate the woods from the trees. They have lost the plot. Their notion of public representation is now just a means of justifying their own personal ends. Welcome to the crony capitalism way of Malaysian politics. Some call it My Way.

All is not lost. Some credit should be given to the MCA Youth. At least they are fighting about something which means not all agree on how mothership is being run and want to see some changes - which is a good thing.

However, guys, in future, can we just keep to civilised dialogue and discussions? Your antics reflect badly on us, Malaysians. If you persist on keeping it this way, we might either have to pack you off to the E-Village in Dengkil or vote you out of office.
