Our justice system has been raped, new draconian laws are being put in place and we are being deprived of our very basic rights. You can be jailed under the ISA for saying "boo to a goose" if the government chooses to do so and all this to maintain a corrupt, and irresponsible government.

Greed has become the order of the day, and in pursuit of the power and wealth they seek, they will not blink an eyelid to kill, jail, torture or do anything as long as the ends justify the means.

If this country has to turn over a new leaf, if this country is to regain its glory, it has to rid itself of this corrupt government as soon as possible, and this can only be done by responsible men of honour. We pray you stand up and get counted for the sake of the nation and your children.

Yes, three people were detained under the ISA for less than what I said. Theresa Kok is there for nothing but a mere allegation made by the former chief minister of Selangor, the Sin Chew reporter for doing her job and Raja Petra Kamaruddin for actually saying boo to a goose or rather to some geese that adorn the cabinet and the house of parliament.

Under these circumstances, Anwar Ibrahim was right to call for a meeting with the prime minister before revealing the names of the MPs who are making the cross over. The September 16 deadline was spot on, but Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is afraid to meet with Anwar, he wants a few more days in the seat of power.

I think the PM should be given a few days to decide if he will indeed meet Anwar, it is the fasting month after all. If after this Anwar is still snubbed by the PM, he can choose to exercise his option as the head of the opposition to seek an audience with the King to present him with the list of names.

His Majesty must then meet these MPs to ensure that they have indeed expressed their desire to cross over. Only then can the King recognise Anwar as the person who has the support of the majority of the MPs in Parliament to form the government in accordance with our laws.

Umno, led by Abdulah and Najib Razak are claiming victory, but deep in their hearts they know their days in government are numbered. The present rhetoric is all about self-denial.
