Sept 16: What BN leaders say
Sept 16 has been bandied about as Barisan Nasional’s collapse date to Pakatan Rakyat after 51 years in power.
The day has arrived and BN are still in control, though facing pressing problems of their own. Leaders from the ruling coalition when asked by Malaysiakini said the following:

It is obvious that Anwar has been blowing bubbles all this while - and now his bubble has burst. But he still blows his trumpet so high, that he’ll end up swallowing his own saliva. 
He is constantly changing the date and bragging about numbers but not revealing it. To me, he has been very deceitful and undermined the intelligence of the Malaysian public.
He should submit and accept that the BN government was democratically elected by the people. Please accept that, and then play the role of an effective opposition leader.
When Penang fell to the opposition, what happened? The BN government through Dr Koh Tsu Koon democratically handed the government to DAP in a gentlemanly fashion.
There was absolutely no fuss and no problems at all. If Anwar wins the (general) election democratically, he’ll find his way to Putrajaya unhindered.

I challenge him to declare the defector list so the public can see for themselves. Instead of showing the list today, he is creating uncertainty and a crisis of confidence unnecessarily. This causes the country to suffer, but he doesn’t care because he only cares for himself. 
The people should know that Anwar cannot just hope for crossovers because he got nothing to offer. Would posts be enough? How do you distribute 31 posts? Perhaps he would ask them to become his coffeeboy or his doorman.
This gives us all the more reason to believe that his crossover manoeuvre involves a lot of money.

He should say sorry to the public, for creating so much uncertainty. He has created a lot strain on the economy. Investors, fund managers and the general public are now on a wait and see mode.

Today, people are calling each other instead of working - talking about Sept 16, numbers, the prime minister and who would meet the king. That’s all happening because of Anwar. 
If Anwar really loves the country and the people, he should use the power the public have given to (Pakatan) in governing the five states properly.
Instead, he is playing a psychological game causing economic activities to come to a standstill and people will end up suffering. If you have the numbers, show your hand and finish the whole thing off.
This is not a game of poker. Don’t play poker with people’s lives and the prime minister’s. Everyone is now calling (Pakatan’s) bluff. Don’t talk about a possible emergency and creating illusions. We don’t need such things at this point of time.
