As a regular reader of malaysiakini, I notice that there is a group of seemingly professional PAS- bashers among the letter-writers. They do not seem to have better things to do or any intellectual interest other than attacking PAS on everything under the sun. Day in and out, they badmouth PAS as if PAS has never done anything good to non-Muslims.

I think instead of advising PAS to be open minded, 'professional' PAS-bashers themselves should be open-minded. As secularism is also one of the many belief systems in the history and society of mankind, it is also time for secularists not to be seen as 'intolerant exclusive' and 'self-righteously sectarian'.

As for malaysiakini, I suggest that the letters column be more diversified to include more writers of a wider range of intellectual interests.
