I read with amusement what Khairy Jamaludin had to say of the opposition’s (Pakatan Rakyat’s) ideology when he himself doesn’t realise what kind of ideology the Barisan Nasional (and in particular Umno) has been practicing for all these 50 years.

But before that, I quote his text form a media report: ‘For all its talk of a new Malaysia and a real alternative against Barisan Nasional, Pakatan Rakyat remains a politically expedient arrangement among strange bedfellows bound not by a shared ideology but by a common lust for power’.

What ideology has the BN perpetuated all these years? Every Malaysian can see and knows that its ‘great’ ideology is nothing but a pure racist ideology.

Doesn’t the fact that the BN coalition is made up of parties based on racial and ethnic lines and the fact that all basis of public implementation is based upon racial quotas and affirmative action towards a particular ethnic group, show nothing but a racial ideology?

When Umno screams out loud after 50 years of independence of Ketuanan Melayu what does this reflect? A Malaysian ideology?

If PR is having ‘strange bedfellows’ what is happening to the ‘marriage partners’ of the Barisan Nasional? Their ‘love life’ seems to be drifting apart with no love lost as Umno after the last GE is promiscuously tempting PAS to come to bed with it.

Luckily PAS has its fair share of moral values and principles. This episode has clearly shown how much ideological commitment Umno has towards its current partners-in-marriage. Umno is the obvious typical tyrant ‘hubby’ who treats his mistresses with disdain and ambivalence.

Umno can just ignore them, doesn’t even consult them on such a big issue but like submissive mistresses, MCA, MIC, Supp, PBS all have no say at all. No say in anything and everything but only to be used freely ‘in bed’ to Umno’s advantage, command and desire.

Did Khairy use the words ‘lust for power’? Well. from what I understand ‘politics’ is defined as ‘the distribution of power’so what is so unusual for politicians to go for power? But ‘lust’ is negatively extreme perhaps.

I would like to see what and how Barisan Nasional (especially the tai kor Umno) will do to remain in power and how they will take defeat in the next few months (or even days in the Permatang Pauh).

To what extent will they go and use all available in their arsenal to react to the threat of total defeat . I do hope the bad losers will have better and more creative ideas than just sex ,sodomy and the ISA.

If there is no ‘lust’ and ‘enrichment’ in Barisan’s power play, I think the rakyat would have given them another clear mandate in the last March general elections.

And in parliament recently, a Barisan deputy minister had the cheek to say ‘racial integration’ has had been achieved in our country. As usual the Pakatan parliamentarian was heckled by the Barisan reps when he disagreed with such a statement.

Then a TV news poll asked the people whether we had achieved racial integration. The answer was a clear 90% saying ‘no’.
