I disagree with some letters expressing worry about the clash between PAS and DAP regarding the Islamic state issue. The healthy discussions and arguments are timely as I am sure and hope by the time the next general elections come, both parties would have ironed out their differences and recognised their common objectives.

This is the time for PAS leaders to explain the concept to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, not two weeks before the election.

Let us hope that this issue does not die down like the university admission quota issue. Barisan Alternatif should have a common stand on that issue, too, after many intelligent discussions and fruitful suggestions put forward by thinking Malaysians.
