I am saddened by the loss of such a historical and important building, The Dewan Tunku Canselor in Universiti Malaya, which was burnt down last week. However, one thing that intrigues me is the current drive for funds to rebuild the hall. People are donating lots of money and asking others to donate to help rebuild the hall, which will cost about RM13 million.

Isn't the building insured? I am sure a public building in a prominent university should have been insured, and if it is not, then why so?
