I refer to the Malaysiakini article Patto - 'fighter of the people'.

I read with interest the article on this ‘fighter of the people’, who is another relatively unknown hero to many.

It never fails to amaze me how little I really know of things that matter and so I did not know of Patto or who he was and what he did.

But I do know of Patto now.

And for that relatively unknown good fight on that hard, less travelled road that not many have the heart to walk upon, I thank you, Patto, and I respectfully dedicate to you this poetic song written by another tough and relatively unknown hero of the people, a man who possessed an unusually beautiful and resonant voice like that of the softest velvet and the smoothest chocolate.

May you, P Patto, rest gently always in God’s peace.
