Whilst much has been said about the phone call from the former number one judge to Dato' Hj Muhammad Kamil Awang, we have omitted to ask another fundamental question. According to Kamil, when Mohamed Dzaiddin Abdullah became the Chief Justice, he informed Dzaiddin about the call, but not the identity of the caller.

Why did Dzaiddin not do anything about the matter? Here was a High Court Judge informing the numero uno of a directive and the latter did nothing about it?

Why did Kamil bypass the Chief Justice of Sabah and Sarawak?

Why did Dzaiddin allow the hearing of the petition to go on?

Why were the parties not informed immediately by either Kamil or Dzaiddin about the so-called directive?

Now on the eve of his retirement Kamil gives press conferences, TV interviews, what does Dzaiddin propose to do about Kamil's conduct? Does the numero uno sanction Kamil's post-judgment doings through the media?
