I have been following the discussion on the EPF annuity scheme. Everyone seems to have missed the fact that the scheme when mathematically analysed provides returns at a five percent per annum rate and the individual is deprived of his initial capital.

Leaving your money in the EPF means you will get six to eight percent interest and capital is reserved for your children. For EPF to keep members' money and continue paying out six to eight percent monthly is just a very low cost administrative exercise especially if it is credited directly into the individuals bank account.

I am hoping some local consumer organisation can put together a team to perform a mathematically-correct analysis and publish this for the benefit of all Malaysians.

Let's stop the rhetoric. Let's mathematically prove if daylight robbery currently exists and subsequently what would be best for all Malaysians
