I refer to the announcement by Hume Industries Malaysia Berhad of the approval obtained by it from the Securities Commission on May 25, 2001 for its disposal of Nanyang Press.

What interests me is that there was no announcement by Hume to the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) of its application made to the SC for its disposal.

This application must have been made long before May 25, knowing that the SC usually takes times to process such applications and the voluminous information required.

Didn't Hume contravene the KLSE requirements on timely disclosure? What is the KLSE's view on this?
