Anwar Ibrahim is probably going back to jail, not getting the surgery he needs for his condition. Is he wrong for refusing medical treatment from Malaysian hospitals? Is he better than all of us? Why should he get special treatment? If any other prisoner had this problem, would we send him to Germany?

These are questions for much debate. But would you let yourself be treated by the same 'system' that gave you a black eye and beat you up pretty good? Would you go 'under the knife' of the same system that put you in jail without a proper trial? Would you trust them in the first place?

If you can afford it, would you rather be treated by an unbiased medical expert? If you can't trust the judiciary, can you trust the medical profession, especially when the very person who is responsible for you being in jail is a doctor? Can you trust the health ministry especially when it keeps making unwarranted and hateful statements?

But then again, Anwar is just another prisoner, so why should he get any special treatment?
