In my opinion there is nothing that citizens of Malaysia can do to change the situation (cronyism, bailouts, ISA arrests, abuse power by government servants, etc.). The present leaders are legally elected to the present position. Malaysia is different from other countries in the region. Malaysians are not willing to fight for their rights; they prefer to enjoy whatever is left of them.

The only way out is to strategise for the coming general elections in 2004. That needs a lot of planning as the current crop in power have access to all the government facilities and machinery, legally or not. And what does the opposition have? This is the reality that Barisan Alternatif must wake up to. Otherwise, all our great leaders will be jailed and the hope for a positive result in 2004 will be gone!
