Dont discriminate based on race

The article by Steve Oh, [#1]For the Indians have-nots, life is not beautiful[/#] (March 24), really brings back my own experience with my fellow Indian friends. In the early 1980s I used to mix a lot with Indians. Occasionally I ate with them. The food my poor Indian friends had was simple and poor in nutrition. It used to be just a pot of curry of dhal with some brinjals. That's it. This very pot of curry will serve the family for at least two days before a fresh one could be prepared.
I believe what the writer has written would serve as an eye opener to the government as well as the public to uplift the Indians' standard of living.
Why do I say the public? I often hear of Indians, especially the lowly-educated ones, being discriminated in the job market. All sorts of excuses are given in order to deny them of jobs they could do. When they fail to get a decent job, they will resort to crime as a means to live. So the public has a hand in marginalising the Indians.
We are all God's creation. Please do not discriminate our fellow human beings. Give them a job whether they are Indian, Malay or Chinese so that everyone is happy and Malaysia will be a better place to live in.
