Reference is made to the letters received by temporary teachers to return the 'extra pay' ([#1]Unfair of ministry to ask teachers to pay back 'extras'[/#], March 13). Dong Jiao Dong must be commended for their integrity to speak up in the interest of these temporary teachers. That the teachers are penalised for the lack of a credit in their SPM Bahasa Malaysia when this was not stated in the initial contract is unjust.

The creditors at the governmental levels can at times seem to be a little off the mark when pursuing their debtors. So much is done to pursue the return of that much of 'extra pay'. What about the use of public funds to bail out the 'big fish' and big corporations who fail to perform up to expectations? These amount to tens and thousands of ringgit. No one is issuing letters for them to 'pay back', instead they have money to pocket. What a joke!
