I read with amazement an article in The Sun yesterday regarding the Federation of Peninsular Malay Students' (GPMS) denial of PAS deputy president Abdul Hadi Awang's statement that a majority of students support the opposition.

GPMS secretary-general Syed Anuar Syed Mohamad said that Abdul Hadi should get his facts right because "not all students in public universities are in support of the opposition".

Doesn't he know that 'majority' means more than 50 percent and not necessarily all of the students? Doesn't Abdul Hadi's statement conform to his?

It's amazing to see these so-called student leaders jumping like 'kera kena belacan whenever an opposition leader makes a statement, not realising that their own statements actually sound stupid. It is an insult to all Malay students and the Malay intelligence.
