Uproar after minister says accused rapists can sit for SPM

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said yesterday that four students implicated in the gang rape of a 15-year-old will still be allowed to sit for SPM examinations.
The assurance, however, has stirred public anger.
Critics see it as prioritising educational rights, school's image over victim welfare, student safety.
