It's interesting to read Mohd Iqbal's opinion, [#1]'Ketuanan Melayu' is historical[/#] (Feb 8). Each one has his or her opinion which is very much influenced by the background, the education and the market reality in this country.

I believe we need to look beyond ourselves and see the bigger picture for the good of Malaysia. The writer highlighted the importance of tolerance. Let's keep an open mind to study proposals from the Malay Action Front and Suqiu as objectively as possible. Our forefathers had fought and worked with all their hearts to see Malaysia develop. They exhibited the spirit of mutual trust, respect, love and understanding.

Let's emulate their attitude as we are facing changes both internally and globally, for the stability of Malaysia.
